We’re now officially in the holiday shopping season and you know what everyone wants this year? You guessed it — a Dell WD19S 180W docking station. For real though, everyone can appreciate a good docking station, especially your loved ones who work from home. The benefit is pretty clear. Many of us are primarily laptop users. The portability and convenience is great. Everything you need is just locked down to one unit that can fold up and fit in your bag. You can use it comfortably from the couch, take it with you to a coffee shop, or bring it with you on your travels to hotels for work or abroad. And right now, this one is on sale for 58% off. That brings it down from the staggering price of $356 to a much more affordable $149.
Working on just the laptop alone is fine, but sometimes it’s better to have a fully robust workstation. My desk has two monitors which are each significantly larger than my laptop screen. I have a mechanical keyboard with raise, clicky-clacky keys which I find much more satisfying to type with than the flat keypad of my laptop. I have speakers that have louder and deeper sound than those built-into my computer. I’ve got a drawing tablet, a DSLR I’ve hooked up as a webcam for exceptional camera quality, a powerful microphone. Plus I have an Anker wireless charger slash phone stand to keep my phone propped up in view and always at 100%.
A Modular Docking Station to Fit Your Needs
My laptop simply does not support all of those at once. It’s got two USB ports on it and that’s it. A docking station allows me to use all of these accessories when at my desk and it’s easy to hook up to. I just need to plug in my laptop to the docking station and then everything is connected — easy peasy.
This Dell 180W docking station can charge devices with power delivery and features the following ports. It’s got one DisplayPort, on HDMI port, one USB-C ports, three USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, and one Ethernet port. Unfortunately, this one does not have a 3.5mm port, but if you mainly use Bluetooth earbuds or headphones, that won’t be too much of a biggie to you.
The Dell WD19S 180W docking station is normally priced at $356.Right now though, it is on sale at Amazon for the much lower price of $149 — a 58% discount.
